I liked your elder works much more. The ones before February 2013 (when you suddenly disappeared for a few months). Those were nice and bright, detailed and beautiful, shiny and attractive. Can't have enough words to describe them. Great, in overall. But the ones you started making after your absence are... sort of dull and dirty. I don't enjoy them and I don't like them. It's like the maker was changed to a different person, less experienced and with worse taste. Sure, time changes us all, but I couldn't expect that kind of change. Maybe it's just me not liking your changes in style, but still...

This is all just my personal thoughts and opinion. I don't mean no offense. I'm just sad that your art no longer brings me joy and I couldn't hold it to myself.

No offense taken, and I'd wager you're not the only one who feels this way..

Sadly I'm in a very dark time in my life, something that is bound to reflect heavily in any art form.

I try to squeeze in some levity with Cirno but ya.. Most of my stuff has taken a very gritty turn I'll admit.

Is there any way to help solve your problems in life or is it mostly out of your or anyone's reach? I had my own "dark period" and  I know how it can affect one's art. Sure, I don't know if my problems are comparable to yours, but still... If there's some way I could support you, I'd want to look into it.

Aww well that's very kind of you =3

Though there's not much anyone can do it about it at this point. Not for awhile at least.

Best I can do it keep my head above water and make the best out of it I can..

I guess by Lily you mean this Lily Freestyle Animation by Primantis and by Yvette you mean this Toony Yvette - WIP by Primantis?
They both look interesting. I especially liked how Yvette looks. Not a perfect render style (just yet), but something definitely worth tinkering with, it has a good potential. As I look at your previous works and how they were getting better and better in all terms (KOS-MOS gallery folder is a great example of your constant growth), I think you can make it perfect. What distracts my eye right now is that her hair has a red and black outline, while her body seems to have no outline, or it is too dark and cannot be well seen on dark clothes. It just makes the style look inconsistent. Maybe it's worth trying to make the outline in clothes brighter (I haven't played with Freestyle much, but I think it's possible to do so), or brighten up just the clothes for some contrast. Also, at first I thought that I don't really like that red-ish shading on her hair (makes her look unnatural), but I've noticed that I think so only about the hair around her face. Make it's because of a lack of shadows from that hair on her face and head. There's no real contrast between hair and head, that's something to look into.
Lily looks interesting as an experiment with render styles, but I'm not sure how you can use it for serious work. Though it might be good for some scary images of  them vampires silhouettes or stylized Miku advertisements, or... Well, a lot of experimentation can be done here.

If I'm missing out on something, just tell me, I'm always glad to provide feedback.

You bring up some valid points about Yvette.. The orange around her hair is.. well buggy for some reason. I dont know why it does it that way (notice how its black near the top) it has to do with her material node actually. Not sure why that would effect stuff I do in the compositor but I notice it does at times.. I did figure a way to mitigate the issue but I kinda liked it orange.

For Lily though I meant this one primantis.deviantart.com/art/L… (my bad, should have been more specific)

I have since tweaked her eyes and open mouth to be less obnoxiously standoutish.

Worth noting that I did paint on some textures to account for the hair shadows, but made them very subtle. Might look better if I made them darker I suppose.
